Welcome

Hi there, I'm Ms. Mello and welcome to my daycare!

I started my career in education teaching Kindergarten through 4th grade in my native country of Brazil. Once I moved to the United States, and had a child of my own, I decided to open a family childcare so that I could be a full time mom. I am proud to say that I have been working with children for over 20 years since. 

My curriculum is founded on play-based learning, "play is the highest form of research". I believe that expression through play is how children learn to negotiate with peers, problem-solve, and improvise. When playing, children are working all areas of their development - from the physical, to the social-emotional, cognitive, and creative. 

Being in a home childcare environment, what I offer my children is a loving, nurturing, family-style setting with intimate and individualized attention and engaging activities - ranging from arts and crafts, gardening, to yoga and more! 

Children from eighteen months old to five years old are welcome! That means, your munchkins may get a chance to socialize with bigger kids and be around younger ones - a huge bonus if your only child is soon becoming a big sibling!
